The Android Missions

After a few seconds he begins screaming at you to get in the program and turn off the androids attacking them. You must tunnel into an ICE and enter the program. Inside you see hundreds of variables and with the information given to you, you must find the correct booleans corresponding to the attacking androids and shut them off.

Design

This mission follows a period of time about 5 minutes given to you to explore. It's expected for you to be in the middle of something, nothing in the game requires you to be there for an extensive period of time, so you won't feel as if you are throwing away progress if you leave any program immediately. You are given about twenty seconds heads-up that something urgent is about to occur and you have time to get ready for it.

Once the team on the outside begins getting attacked, the pressure is on and you better hurry to that program.

Mission 01

  • Mission start dialogue: You are told to get near the program.
  • The primary objective is to enter the android program.
  • After 8 seconds, the time for the first dialogue sequence to finish, the destination is added to your nav.
  • After 22 seconds, Arkadi yells at you that they are under attack. Heightening the stakes and indicating that this got serious.
  • After 53 seconds, you are reminded to hurry up.
  • After 174 seconds, the team dies and you fail the run. You are killed and sent to the main menu.

Mission 02

  • Mission start dialogue: Given the information to find the correct android variables.
  • The primary objective is to disable ONE attacking android.
  • After 42 seconds, Arkadi continues to pester you about their imminent death.
  • After 155 seconds, the team dies and you fail the run.

Mission 03

  • Mission start dialogue: Arkadi confirming that you've disabled one of the androids and
  • The primary objective is to disable ALL attacking androids.
  • After 45 seconds, the team dies and you fail the run.

Mission 04

  • Mission start dialogue: Arkadi thanks you for saving their ass and tells you to stand-by. A reoccurring line that he says whenever there is a time for you to explore.
  • The primary objective is time based. This launches into the third and last period of exploration before the finale.
